Journey I

Soliloquy is a body of work that uses the fairy tale of “Sleeping Beauty” to represents a spiritual journey I underwent. “Journey I” is part 1 of a triptych, and is the beginning of the heroines’ rite of passage, where she must overcome psychological, spiritual and emotional challenges. This scene focuses on the hardship of loss. Her reward upon completion is the gift of knowledge.

Journey II

Soliloquy is a body of work that uses the fairy tale of “Sleeping Beauty” to represents a spiritual journey I underwent. “Journey II” is part 2 of a triptych, and is the center of the heroines’ rite of passage, where she must overcome psychological, spiritual and emotional challenges. This scene focuses on the fight for overcoming. Her reward upon completion is the gift of leading.

Journey III

Soliloquy is a body of work that uses the fairy tale of “Sleeping Beauty” to represents a spiritual journey I underwent. “Journey III” part 3 of a triptych, and is the last of the heroines’ rite of passage, where she must overcome psychological, spiritual and emotional challenges. This scene focuses on the overwhelming nature of tribulation. Her reward upon completion is the gift of teaching.

The Choice

Soliloquy is a body of work that uses the fairy tale of “Sleeping Beauty” to represents a spiritual journey I underwent. “The choice” represents our choices in life and how they reflect deep consequences for us. The heroine must choose wisely in order to return victorious in her quest for agency and spiritual maturity.

 

Season of preparation

Soliloquy is a body of work that uses the fairy tale of “Sleeping Beauty” to represents a spiritual journey I underwent. “Season of preparation” represents the different kinds of metaphorical deaths one experiences in life and how these can act as catalysts to propel us forward.
